Hi everyone!!

Durante todo este curso nuestr@s peques lector@s han hecho un increíble esfuerzo  puesto que ell@s junto con sus papás se convirtieron en fans número 1 de nuestras colecciones en inglés. 

Éstos fueron algunos de nuestros cuentos favoritos. ¡Enhorabuena campeon@s!

Throughout this year our little readers have made an incredible effort  since they, along with their parents, became number 1 fans of our collections in English.

SAINT PATRICK IS HERE!!!

 

Llegó Saint Patrick a nuestro cole y todo se inundó de "green". Aprendimos  quien era y que hacía el Leprechaum. Vimos lo que era shamrock, rainbow y pot of gold.

Bailamos y nos divertimos un montón y a través de pistas encontramos el tesoro. Hay quien dice que en el patio vio un sombrerillo verde y escuchó un "tap, tap, tap". "Catch me if you can!.

Muchas gracias mamis y papis por vuestra colaboración sin la que no sería posible esta actividad.

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!! 🍀🍀

Saint Patrick arrived at our school and everything was flooded with green. We learned about the Leprechaum and also what shamrock, rainbow and pot of gold were. We danced and had a lots of fun and through clues we found the treasure. There are those who say that in the playground they saw a little green hat and heard a "tap, tap, tap." sound. Who knows?!! "Catch me if you can!

Thank you very much, moms and dads, for your collaboration, without which this activity would not be possible.

THANKSGIVING ACTIVITIES WITH ALISON

 Hello sweeties!!

Hoy ha sido un día muy especial porque hemos tenido la suerte de contar con la presencia de Alison (la mamá de Thiago) y nos ha traído un montón de sorpresas.

Today has been a very special day because we have been lucky to have Alison at school and she has brought us lots of surprises.

Primero recordamos un poquito cómo se celebraba Thanksgiving en USA: se reúne la familia en torno a una mesa llena de comida riquísima:

First we remember a little how Thanksgiving was celebrated in the USA: the family gathers around a table full of delicious food:

Pero hoy hemos aprendido que el gran protagonista de la fiesta es el TURKEY así que Alison nos ha traído una actividad superdivertida en la que tenemos que coger un Turkey. ¡¡Nos costó mucho trabajo!! Para eso tuvimos que correr (run), pisar fuerte (stomp), escalar (climb) y nadar (swim). 

But today we have learned that the TURKEY was the great star of the celebration so Alison has brought us a super fun activity in which we have to hunt one. For that we had to run (run), stomp (stomp), climb (climb) and swim (swim).

¡¡Por fin cogimos the turkey!! We finally caught the turkey!!

    

Y para recordar este día y su celebración hicimos con Alison un turkey de cartulina que llevamos a casa y nos encantó a tod@s.

And to remember this day and its celebration we made a cardboard turkey with Alison and we were so delighted that we took it home.

Alison tambien nos contó la historia de "Llama Llama gives thanks" y con ella aprendimos que la auténtica palabra mágica para este día es THANK YOU

Alison also told us the story of "Llama Llama gives thanks" and we learned from it that the true magic word for this day is THANK YOU

THIAGO'S BIRTHDAY

 On Thursday Thiago had a warm and unexpected visit. It was her mum ALISON !! She came to school and told us a story about a very very naughty dog ... 

It's dinner time! WHERE'S SPOT?

It was Valentine on Monday!! 

We listened to this song and paid attention to its meaning

 Hello kids!!

El pasado jueves 25 de Noviembre se celebró la festividad de "Thanksgiving day" en los EE UU de Norteamérica.

En el cole y a nuestra manera investigamos y aprendimos sobre lo que hay detrás de esta tradición y cómo se celebra: hablamos sobre la fiesta y la comida de este día, de lo que significa compartir "Share" y ser agradecidos "Be thankful"pero lo más divertido llegó con esta Thanksgiving song que cantamos en clase y que de paso nos invitó a conocer alguna palabrita más sobre las comidas.

En esta celebración se sientan a la mesa sobre todo los miembros de la familia,  así que aprovechamos la oportunidad para hacer tambien un repasito al vocabulario de FAMILY.

Lo pasamos en grande confeccionando estos  turkeys tan graciosos:

    

In 3 year class, we used "red, yellow, green and blue" tempera colours to decorate our turkey craft and this was the process:

In four years we made this cute thanksgiving puppet using different cardboards and tongue depressors. The kids loved these ones because they can play with them and say the colour names from their feathers. AWESOME!!!

In five years we just used yellow and orange cardboards. 

We cut them out in the shape of a funny turkey and this was the INCREDIBLE result.
