VERY VERY VERY BIG!!!

 Casi lo primero que hicimos al llegar al cole después del verano fue darnos una vuelta por el patio y ¿QUÉ DESCUBRIMOS?

One of the first things we did when we arrived at the school after Summer holidays was to go for a stroll around the playground and .... WHAT DID WE FIND?

THIS VERY VERY VERY BIIIIIG SUNFLOWER!!

We asked for the weather "WHAT'S THE WEATHER LIKE?" and we soon found out that if it's sunny, our sunflower was "happy" and if it's cloudy, our sunflower was "sad".

Miramos al cielo y vimos qué tiempo hace Is it Sunny?, is it Cloudy?. Descubrimos que nuestro "sunflower is very sad because it is cloudy"

We also noticed that the sunflower now is very very BIG but before it was very very LITTLE and we wanted to find out about the life of a sunflower.

Recordamos la diferencia entre BIG/LITTLE pero quisimos averiguar más sobre la vida de un "sunflower"

👀  PEEP AND THE BIG HIDE WORLD

With Peep we learned seed, water, plant, sun.

Suddenly we looked at Amanda Panda and SURPRISE SURPRISE!! 

With Amanda's waterpot  we decided to become into little sunflowers that grow big and big thanks to water and sun. 

Con la regadera de Amanda decidimos convertirnos en pequeños girasoles ¡¡ que crecen y crecen !! gracias al agua y al sol.

Finally we did some table work. We coloured the "big sunflower"and stick 3 seeds on it.

Finalmente hicimos trabajo de mesa, coloreando el "big sunflower" y pegando 3 semillas dentro.

We also wrote the word "BIG" and learn about some words beginning with the letter B. Can you try it again?

SAYING "HELLO" TO AMANDA PANDA

 Hello sweeties and welcome to our blog!!

Todas las mañanas incluso antes de que entre en clase decimos Hello a nuestra mascota Amanda Panda y le cantamos su canción favorita.

Every morning even before i come into the classroom we say Hello to our class puppet AMANDA PANDAAAA!! singing her favourite song.

Alternamos la canción de saludos con la de otras rutinas como "Tidy up" song o "It's time to work".

At the meantime we are learning other routine songs such us "Tidy up" , "It's time to work"songs and "Bye bye song". 

Las "routine songs" se convierten en un modo divertido de motivar a los niños y les ayuda a establecer la dinámica de la clase. Establecer rutinas los relaja y nos ayuda a las profes a establecer las señales para empezar la clase, escuchar una historia, recoger o familiarizarse con vocabulario relacionado con el tiempo, los días de la semana, las estaciones que adquirirán y utilizarán en la clase sin apenas ser conscientes.

Routine songs are a fun way to motivate the children and help establish the class dynamics. Having a routine helps them relax and helps the teacher signal when it’s time to begin, listen to a story or tidy up. Routine songs also familiarise the children with the days of the week, the months and the weather.

De momento estamos utilizando la canción de saludo "Hello Amanda" y la alternamos con otra canción de introducción (Hello, hello Can you clap your hands?) que utiliza la profe Elena en su versión española. 

De cada cierto tiempo cambiaremos la canción de Hello porque me permite introducirles nuevas estructuras y vocabulario. Los peques aprenden divirtiéndose y ¡¡ni se enteran!! porque ¿Hay algo que le guste más a un niño que bailar?

We are also using another introductory song that is used by teacher Elena. Hello hello Can you clap your hands? but I'm quite keen on changing the "Hello songs" in order to introduce some new vocabulary or structures. Kids are learning while enjoying and they don't even realise!!

En casa y como actividad complementaria les podéis poner estas otras canciones a vuestros niñ@s para averiguar si reconocen la rutina que aparece en el video. Verás cómo os sorprenden...

All the same mums and dads can play these other songs at home in order to help children to recognise the routine developed on the video.

PLAYTIME WITH ELAINE

Today we had the pleasure of enjoying the visit of ELAINE , Olivia's mum, at school.

First, we had lots of fun with an action song and so we JUMPED, RUN, CLIMBED and STRECHED!!

Afterwards we had a delicious time with GAMES for practicing these actions.

THANK YOU SO MUCH ELAINE!! We hope to see you back next year at school!!
